Peace Out, Adulthood

Racing back to my parents' house [via]

I no longer want to be an adult.

After going waaay outside my comfort zone and talking to a mortgage lender alone over the phone, I just want to nope out and never think about buying a house ever again.

I think I’ll just move back into my parents’ house…they seem like real adults who can have legitimate conversations over the phone with people and do adult things, like obtain a real, live home mortgage.

I’ll just go back to being the child…except with alcohol.  I want alcohol.  Actually, if going back to being the child means no bills, I can do without the alcohol.  Juice boxes can be my jam.  Who am I kidding?  Juice boxes are already my jam.

I’m eternally 10 years old.  I just play an adult in this show called “Life”.

PS:  I went to tag this post ‘responsible’ and spelled it wrong.  Further proof I’m not fit to be an adult.

Keith Returns

About a year ago, our cat, Keith, went missing.  I let him outside one day and he just never came back.  I assumed the worst since he left in the winter.

Sunday morning, Keith came back!  My husband heard meowing outside and at first thought it was the stray cat that hangs around our neighborhood.  When he looked outside, he found Keith out there, meowing like crazy!

I have no idea where he’s been this entire time.  I didn’t see him around at all.  He looks really healthy too, like he’s been taken care of.

Dad’s Nifty 50

My mom wrote “50” on the cake in hopes my dad would be as mortified as she was with her big day!

So Much Code

So I changed my layout!  It now looks like this:

I found this template on Pinterest & spent about 35435345345 hours customizing it.  Now, I know some HTML, but mostly it’s just trial and error so it takes me forever to customize.

After looking at that for hours, my head is ready to explode!

If this were the old Blogger customization with just HTML, I would be awesome!  This new stuff is so confusing to me.  Can we just go back to the HTML of like 15 years ago?!

Aaand now I’m aging myself.

Nifty 50

bday

You guys!  My mom is 50 years old!  How did this happen?!

Her birthday was last Sunday & my dad’s nifty 50 is this Friday.  I can’t believe both of my parents are 50 years old.  That means I’m on the fast track to being 30 years old.  I can’t even!  Where did the years go?

The day after my mom turned 50, she received paperwork for AARP in the mail.  I laughed about it at first and then I realized that AARP offers awesome discounts!  Maybe not awesome enough to admit you’re 50 though!
