Happy Tuesday!
I had an awesome 4th of July weekend!
Friday, I went with my husband and parents to Roger’s Market. It was my first time
there, and it was the best. There were so many vendors there and so many
customers! We were there mostly all day and didn’t even see everything.
At Roger’s, there was a guy playing an accordion! I wish I had gotten his
name. Missed connections, anyone? I want to know more about him. Does he play
professionally? Does he have a band? He was kick ass on the accordion!
After Roger’s, we came home for about 5 minutes to switch cars and then went
to the Dustin Lynch concert at Conneaut
Lake Park. My husband and I just went. Obviously, my parents weren’t lustin’
for Dustin! There were other bands there as well, which made the time go by
really fast. The other bands were Rick Ramsey, Mayflower Hill, and Country Redford. They were
all so great. Dustin’s set was so cool because he played a lot of covers. My
favorites were the Garth Brooks covers. I’m such a huge fan of Garth and
obviously Dustin is too. I look forward to going to future concerts at Conneaut
Lake Park.
Saturday was relaxing. We just mowed the yard and relaxed most of the day.
Sunday, it was back to work for me, and after that, my family and I baled
hay. That’s always a fun time! We don’t put up a lot of hay so it’s not really
overwhelming.
I would say that it was a great Independence Day weekend!

This Is What Happened
Aaaand I'm back! It's been way too long!
I'm enjoying a lovely staycation this week where I've been watching "Sons of Anarchy" and "Lie to Me".
First up, "Sons of Anarchy". How did I avoid this show for so long?! It's so great! "Lie to Me": I love it! I'm such a huge fan of crime dramas anyway so this show is right up my alley. Can we also talk about "The Walking Dead"? I wasn't a huge fan this season, but with the midseason premiere, I'm hooked again! I feel like I've been through so much with this group. Can you tell I become way too involved with fictional characters?
Also, this happened:
I turned 27 on Monday. I'm not sure I want to talk about that number. I think I may have finally reached the age where I'm dreading my birthday. There's so much that I feel like I should have accomplished by now and one of these years, I'm going to have to face the whole "having kids" thing. Maybe I'm old enough now that people are going to stop asking? Probably not.
Also, that cake? Completely cracked and lopsided. Thanks, mom! No, really, my mom is a great cook. I don't know what happened there. She used to be the go to person for cake making/decorating. It tasted great, though, and that's all that matters.
In country music news, I just want to give a little shout out to The Dusty Armadillo for hosting Eric Church this Thursday for one of his album release concerts. Eric is going to put on shows in six cities in two days to promote his latest album, "The Outsiders". It sounds like it's going to be a fun time for everyone involved and I think it's so cool that Eric is putting on these shows. I saw him on the Jägermeister tour (with my boys Josh Thompson, Sean Patrick McGraw and Rick Monroe) a few years ago and he puts on a good show. I even saw him before the show from afar and waved to him and his wife and they waved back! I was so star struck! I also have to add that Chris Cavanaugh is opening for Eric. I've seen him live before and he's great! He also tweets me sometimes, which is really cool!
