I had probably the scariest dream of my entire life last night. In it, I was driving late at night and somehow lost control of my car. I closed my eyes and prayed that my car would stop before I came to the intersection. When it finally stopped, I was somehow out of the car. I went back to the car and could feel that my side airbag and front airbag had went off. I managed to pull the car ahead as another vehicle passed by. I got back out of the car and started walking down the road where I saw a car with its roof completely gone. There were also vehicle debris everywhere. I wasn’t sure if someone had been in the car until I saw just a hint of blood where the windshield should have been. I then kept walking and found the person’s dead body underneath debris.
Then I woke up, completely mortified. I made my husband come back to bed with me (he usually falls asleep on the couch most nights), telling him that I had a bad dream. He asked me if I wanted to talk about it and I said “no”. How could I tell him that I just saw someone die like that and it was probably my fault?
What does that nightmare mean anyway? Probably that I’m messed up!

5 Shows Guaranteed To Make Me Fall Asleep
![]() |
| via |
As I said yesterday, I have a tough time falling asleep on command. My mind just doesn't want to shut down and sleep when I want it to! When all else fails, I turn on the TV and switch to one of my go to shows that propel me on the road to sleep city. I can honestly say that I've never watched any one of these shows from start to finish. I don't know what it is about these shows, but once I turn them on and start watching, drowsiness sets in and I can successfully fall asleep. These shows have saved me from many a sleepless night and I'm so grateful for them! Trying to fall asleep is the absolute worst!
Here are the shows that are guaranteed to make me fall asleep on the regular:
Unsolved Mysteries: I remember watching Unsolved Mysteries when I was a kid. Lifetime has rebooted it and it's so good; what I watch of it anyway! What happened to these people!?Dr. G: Medical Examiner: Kind of an oldie [as there haven't been any new episodes since 2012], but again, such weird stories.
Dark Matters: Twisted But True: John Noble [from Fringe] hosts this show about weird science experiments.
Celebrity Ghost Stories: I love celebrities and I love ghost stories and I love this show.
Crimes of the Century: Shocking events in recent history, revisited.
I watch these shows to fall asleep fast!
Falling asleep when I don't really want to is tough! With these shows, I'm guaranteed to fall asleep fast! What always makes you fall asleep? Are there any TV shows that do the trick? Please share in the comments!

Sleep Thinking
I've been working some early days lately, which means I should be going to sleep early. My mind has been totally rejecting any idea of a predetermined bedtime, though. Here are some thoughts that pop into my mind when I should be sleeping:
- Hey, I had that super cool "boyfriend" in second grade. I wonder if he's on Facebook? I should probably check that out like right now. I'm just going to go on Facebook for this one thing & that's it. *Proceeds to Facebook everyone I've ever met in my life*
- No, seriously, I'm going to lay down right now. Wait... is it lie down? I don't know. Should I Google it? But, I'm just having this conversation with myself in my brain so no one is going to judge my grammar.
- What if people could read my mind. Yeah, no one can read my mind. If they could, I would have been punched in the face a loooong time ago. #somanyterriblethoughts
After that, it's pretty much either just chanting "GO TO SLEEP"! to myself until I fall asleep or "I DON'T NEED SLEEP!" where I just decide to stay awake until I can't anymore. Either way, it sucks.
When all else fails, I just turn on one of my go to shows to fall asleep to. Tune in tomorrow to find out what those are!
